Enjoy this charming, Florida style beach cottage, which is beautifully decorated with a very comfortable and traditional beach feel. Beach Ray-Treat is a four bedroom, three bath, beach house with lots of space and amenities for you to enjoy. Relax in rocking chairs on the porches or enjoy the common area watching TV, movies, listening to music or relaxing. The main living area has tile floors throughout, reading library, TV/DVD, CD player and a leather couch that converts to a sleeper to accommodate 11 total guest. Wireless Internet is available for your convenience. The dining room table is a large five-foot square hand crafted and painted custom-made table with benches. Enjoy the whole family gathered around the table after a relaxing day at the beach. The kitchen is fully furnished with many colorful and decorative dishes for brightening up your meals. Also located on the main floor is a guest Queen bedroom, TV/DVD, and plenty of room. The bathroom is just across the hall next to the laundry area. Upstairs the large master suite provides a very relaxing oasis with a Queen bed, TV/DVD, phone, and a full bathroom with shower and separate tub. Original art helps make this a relaxing get away. As a bonus there's a private balcony with French doors and two rockers for those magnificent coastal evenings. There are two other bedrooms upstairs, the first has a full bed with bright-colorful beach décor. The second has 3 twins, a bunk bed and a single for sleeping three. A third bath is next to both rooms.
Goat Feathers Seafood Market is only two minutes away from your front door. Old Florida Village is a brand-new, quaint village of about 75 homes with a quiet, winding lane entrance. This home provides a quiet location close to the two community pools. Beach access is just minutes away (500 yards to closest access from the neighborhood) with use of picnic/grill facilities at the beach. Bike, walk or drive to restaurants, shops, and galleries in Seaside and Watercolor or outdoor concerts at Gulf Place. Only 30 minutes from Sandestin, Santa Rosa Beach has an abundance to offer along 30-A. Take a short drive to the outlet malls and attractions of Destin, then return back home to walk along the beautiful 'sugar white' beaches without the crowds. I just got back to atlanta from a week of vacationing at this home and wish I didn't have to come back so soon. The house was better than my expectations and you couldn't beat the location. There was plenty of room and the kids ranging from ages 7 months to 7 years old never got bored. We loved the beach but spent a lot of time at the pool which is a 2 minute walk. The house is located in the back of a neighborhood so there was little to no traffic. There was even an ice cream truck that came by a couple of days. We cooked a lot of meals and the kitchen was completely stocked with utensils and appliances. One of the restaurants we tried was Old Bay Steamers and it was absolutely amazing. Also, there is a small store about 3 miles from the house called Sally's Backside by the Sea that had the most amazing coleslaw and the nicest staff. Overall, this was an amazing experience and we will definitely visit this house again in the future.
We Love it here! We saw Dolphins and a manatee and lots of Big fish. It is so nice and quiet here at the end of the Street. We had great meals at Spiazze cafe' in Seaside and at te Old Florida Fish House. Plus we love the table. We will be back Thanks Donna C.
Our group consisted of adults, one teenager and two pre-teens. We also rented bikes from Big Daddy's (I would recommend them to anyone with kids) and were able to ride to beach and surrounding areas. Everyone enjoyed the house, decor, and amenities. What a great neighborhood!! Everyone was so friendly. Even had a group of young fathers pulling their toddlers in wagons in front of the house...which we called the kiddie parade!! Lots of laughter! I would recommend, and have recommended Beach Ray-Treat to family and friends.
